Proof of Success Above are examples of Natural Vision Center students who were required to wear corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) for driving before enrolling in Natural Vision Center Natural Eyesight Improvement course; all of these students passed their California Driver's Vision Test after completion of the NEI courses---without corrective lenses, and without harmful, irreversible surgery. Outstanding improvements of farsightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia, amblyopia and many other vision problems have also been reported by NEI students. (Some personal information has been removed for student's privacy.) In the first example, Mary wore stronger glasses and contact lenses from age 10 to 40. Her prescription for nearsightedness and astigmatism before enrolling in the Natural Vision Center Natural Eyesight Improvement course was: Right eye: -4.50 D.S., +3.00 D.C. Left eye: -3.00 D. S., +2.50 D.C. In 4 1/2 weeks Mary passed the California Driver's Vision Test without corrective lenses (or surgery) for the first time in her life. Within five months of graduation, she was measured at 20/20 uncorrected vision by her eye doctor. Ray, in the third example, also experienced a lowering of his intraocular pressure by 1/3, according his ophthalmologist. Both Mary and Verlin are graduates of the Natural Vision Center Certified Teacher Training Program. Left: "Restriction: Corrective Lens" (top three examples) and "Must wear corrective lenses" (bottom 3 examples). Right: All restrictions requiring students to use prescription lenses have been removed by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Success Stories There are over 140 testimonials on the Relearning to See: Improve Your Eyesight—Naturally! webpage. There are references to hundreds of people who have improved their eyesight naturally in Better Eyesight: The Complete Magazines of William H. Bates. All of the success stories below are from Natural Vision Center students: * Email received on 12/5/03: I am glad to see you made it to Holland OK. I enjoyed your classes and have now done what I went in to do. I had hoped to not have to have "corrective lenses required" marked on my drivers license on my next renewal date. I went in last week and the lady at Department of Motor Vehicles was shocked to see I did not have to have corrective lenses anymore. She asked if I had had surgery —NO. I proceeded to tell her what I did and she was going to the internet to get more information. I wish I had taken a picture of my old license before turning it in—it all happened before I knew what was happening and that is OK. No more glasses for driving is the best birthday present of all. 37 years of having that box marked to wear corrective lenses is way too many. Thank you for showing me what I needed to remember to do.—Katie * Phone message received on 4/25/03: I just came from the optometrist who was very happy to work with me and lower my prescription, and I got copies of all the paperwork and he signed them. The glaucoma pressure is reduced way down. My myopia is now tested at less than half of what it used to be. So that is a nice success story! I am happy. Thank you very much for your contribution to my life.do.—Vrinda * Email received on 6/19/02: I just returned from the DMV and am so excited I can hardly see straight!!! You see, not only am I no longer required to wear glasses for driving, but I passed the vision test with 100% accuracy! You'll be happy to know, too, that the girl behind the counter wanted to know how I did it. It sounded as though she might be calling you. Thanks for all you.do.—B. J. * Email received on 3/30/00: Tom, * Email received on 5/12/99: Hello,...Only yesterday I had the thought to call you about how wonderful I felt, how victorious, when sitting on the beach reading...I found that I could slowly read the small print without glasses. I read one whole paragraph. Before, I could only tell that black blur was on a white page unless I used very strong magnifiers. I know that even greater sight exists beyond this and that it will be liberated...Thankfully—Lula * Email received on 5/8/99: I just returned from the optometrist's office, where I received a new prescription for "low power" lenses at 3.0 diopters!...recently I've noticed a sharp improvement...In full daylight outdoors, my vision is now remarkably clear. I can consistently generate "flashes" of almost fully normal vision, often lasting for several seconds. I wish I could express the joy that this brings to me after so many years of enduring steadily fading eyesight - to be able to read signs and see details at a distance where previously there were only blurs...I've stopped wearing my glasses when I ride my bicycle...I can't wait until the day when I can leave my glasses at home when I go to the office! Thanks so much for your wonderful work, Tom. I'll keep you posted as my vision continues to improve.—Randall * Email received on 1/25/99: I went to [my optometrist] today because I was having trouble seeing through my glasses. That turned out to be because they're now too strong. With my '20/80 glasses,' I can now see three lines lower on the eye chart than I could when I began your class. So I'm getting weaker glasses. Hurrah! Thank you so much for your help. I'll see you at the next review class.—Sally * Letter received on 11/1/98: My glasses now feel too strong for me. I never wear them. I can see my vision fluctuating, especially with the stress of this show [art exhibit]. Your 'techniques' or correct vision habits help reduce tension and stress in my life in addition to clearer seeing.—Rachel |WOW! I am very satisfied with my progress. My left eye can now read the normal letters of a magazine paper at a distance from one meter. Before your Teacher Training Program it was 70 cm. Also very positive is that the awareness of my both eyes at the same time is growing. [Pieter had amblyopia.]—Pieter |
